GENDER EQUALITY

“It is time that we all see gender as a spectrum, instead of two sets of opposing ideals.”

Different genders tend to do particular things is what the society believes. But rather than just following the herd every child has the right to be himself.

Girls do house chores does not mean that they are meant to be housewife and Boys earn money does not mean that they are meant to be bread earners.

Gender equality is achieved when people of all genders have equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities.

Women can do most of the things men do, but not all. And vice versa. If we force our believes on them they can never be who they are because if we do not follow our own passion, we cannot be called succesful

“If there is equality,” asks one person, “why do women scientists or entrepreneurs get so much attention? They should be given just as much coverage as any other man.

Achieving gender equality will not happen overnight. All of us have a role to play in promoting it.

If we give proper education to all “children” irrespective of gender and give equal value to each person’s work (men are paid for their work does not mean that it is harder than the housewives doing unpaid household chores) we can achieve the most important of society.

A gender-equal society would be one where the word ‘gender’ does not exist: where everyone can be themselves
